I'm a mum of 3 pre-teens and I have been bringing Donna's Money Magic principles into my household since 2018.
Two years before that, my husband and I went through bankruptcy. It was a nerve-wracking and stomach twisting time. Our kids were young - 1, 3 and 5 (think formula, diapers and other expensive baby stuff). We were trying to keep our business running with profits going down the drain and had hardly any money left for the weekly groceries!
Even though we created some financial stability after that, we had numerous debts to pay off. In 2017, there were no "little extra's", and the stress and anxiety around money settled inside my body.
One of the reasons we went bankrupt was a lack of financial literacy. It wasn't something I had learnt at school, and while doing Donna's Money Magic course in 2018, I realised what a bad relationship I had with money!

After doing the Money Magic program in 2018, so much Magic happened. In the first year, we manifested a fully paid trip for the 5 of us to my home country - The Netherlands. This was the first time I could go "home" in 6,5 years!
But also other Magic, in a more subtle way. As I shared all I learned with my husband, we started to manage our money differently.
We started saving while paying off debts; we had money to do fun things with the kids and most importantly, our language and feelings around money radically shifted.
And as kids do: they copy you! Together, as a family, we started to have different conversations about money, as young as they were.
They started having fun saving. There was such a pure excitement the day they received their bankcards. It's now easy to explain that we have a budget and the children are involved with meeting that budget.
They even have expressions like "money is my friend" and there is great joy when they find even a 5 cent coin on the floor (because, you know, now I have more friends ).
I want my children to learn how to manage money, how to attract more money, what they can do to become financially free at a young age while following their hearts' desires. I want them to be financially literate!
And I want that for all children!
It is such a critical Life Skill, but unfortunately, it is not (yet) a subject at schools. So it starts with us. We, as parents, teaching our children.
To give them the best chance for success in life. Isn't that what we all want for our kids?
